so i had my surgery today and i was so scared i cried as i was waiting. but it was ok, i remember the nurse putting something in my IV to "calm me" then she was wheeling me away. the next thing i knew another nurse was saying "wake up melanie, your surgery is over." i think i may be in more pain tomorrow but i hope not. i have lots of drugs that they gave me anyway. and lots of movies to watch and books to read. yeah. and classes are over- for me anyway- i just have 3 finals to worry about. what, me worry???
i saw the locust and fantomas recently. it was amazing except i believe the locust's new style is not as good.Current Mood:  tired |

the other night i met this man. he had an almost childlike face and very blond hair. he had a really bad haircut. i got to talking to him and his friend and found out that they were marketers and inventors.
so i asked what their best invention ever was. they smiled and glanced at each other. then the blond man with the horrible haircut said "sex toys."
i said i think someone already invented those. they said then that they basically revamped old inventions and made them better. i asked them how they could improve sex toys and they went on a tangent about how sex toys never last and always break or something.
i asked them if they were going to make stainless steel sex toys and they never gave up any of their secrets.

attention kazzy, brooke, eric, nick, d, chris.... i know this lame but it's easier than finding everyone.
as you all know the whole laundry situation has been quite annoying for awhile and i really don't know why... i've been bugging my dad about it. our options are that we can either all pitch in for maintenance costs or we can just continue with the mere one we have or we can start going to the laundry mat if needed. my dad somehow got all these washing machines and dryers free/cheap and isn't going to get new ones.
yeah. that's all i guess. you know how to reach me if you want to, let me know what you want to do, blah blah, blah. oh and can someone tell lee and abby? oh yeah and does anyone know what happened to the padlock to the basement?

i think i am going to try and sell my soul on ebay just for kicks.
so i finally got a different job!! at barnes and nobles and i always wanted to work in a bookstore, even if it is a chain! i can give up some of my hours at my evil job finally!!
hopefully i will get a decent job at worcester state too and then i won't have to work there at all! i am so excited. only a week and a half until school finally starts again which is good. things are starting to look up again.
today joanne and i went to see the new exorcist movie. it was good but spooky and gross.
i wanted to take a nap but now i am not sleepy.

so i just have to remember that severe illness just makes my spirit stronger and my mind sharper in the end. i don't know how the fuck i managed to get a kidney infection and fucking pneumonia at the same time but i guess i just have shitty luck. and it had to happen when i am between insurance. ah well. i feel a little better today so that's encouraging. i was so out of it the last few days. friday kyle came over and took care of me but he was joking around constantly and i got annoyed cuz i felt like i was going to die. (in fact the doctor yesterday told me to take it easy cuz she wanted me to be around in 3 weeks and i thought oh my god!!!!) but kyle was just trying to make me feel better i guess. it is apparent that i need to make some changes in my lifestyle, which i didn't think was that bad but i shouldn't be this sick at age 25. the doctor from urgent care even called to ask me questions and lecture me a little this morning. not to mention my mother who took me there friday and saturday cuz i couldn't drive....
i bet stress from my evil job is a factor. i have to get serious about looking for another one. at least i can't go back till wednesday, although i wish it was for other reasons. and the pain/sleep meds they gave me help alot...

so friday i went to providence even though i was exhausted. kyle and i hung out, we saw his cousin and other people then played mini-golf. i hadn't played mini-golf in years but kyle was really into it, it was funny. it was actually pretty fun except the people in front of us were slow so we kept having to wait. i kicked his ass.
then we went to the decatur, of course, and that was fun cuz jesse and matt were right by the door when we walked in.
we all hung out. all kyle's little punk rock friends showed up to. i shouldn't say little i should say younger. there was this psychotic woman there. she was so wasted and was doing all this crazy stuff. she was more funny then that time i hung out with frankie bones. except kinda scary cuz she was so on the edge, you could tell. she told me all about how she worships melanie griffith. she told kyle all this stuff about how they used to be married then remembered she wasn't married to kyle, but that he had showed her how to stab people. she was dancing around and knocked stuff over and the bartender or someone kept telling her to take it easy. then she was yelling and swearing at kyle's friend brian. yeah she was nuts. we all kept trying to get away from her but she wouldn't let us.
i had to leave early as i had to work yesterday morning which sucked cuz kyle was going to some show at the green room with brian.
yesterday after work i was still tired from lack of sleep but i had to go with my sister to a wedding. i knew maybe 3 people there and i didn't like any of the stupid jock type people at our table. by the time we were about to leave i just sat there and turned my back on them. i was tired and grouchy to begin with. but the wedding was brief, i got good food and wine and i stole half of the fancy basket of toiletries from the bathroom. i am poor.
kyle and i were going to see this band nefarious that we know, him better than me, at as220 but i was tired already last night and the wine didn't help. plus i had to work this morning. so i went to bed. he ended up just going to bed too.
jesse told me he bought a 6 person hot tub. or no alex got it for him.(???) i will probably go there tuesday.
yeah. thats all.
